Violence in recent Movies
Jan 19, 2006
Yesterday we saw the movie "Aathi" starring Vijay, Trisha, Nasser, vivek and others. The movie had a different beginning with heroine doing a murder :) Then it continued with lot of build-ups for the Hero and he kills two more persons from his part before the interval itself.. It continued with more of violence and repeated murders. Its gonna be a flop for sure in my opinion. Vijay's previous movie Sivakasi was far better. I see that violence is dominating in many of the recent movies. We saw another movie named "Aaru" recently which again is a story based on a couple of rowdies. Also heard that one more movie called Paramasivan is also like that. Not gonna see that. I donno why they keep on making such similar kind of movies.
However there are some good movies too. The last movie which I saw before Aathi was "Kanda naal muthal" which is a decent movie with a natural story. No super heroism, no exaggerations. This kind of movies will be good to see. Unless the people discourage the film makers making such violence movies, its not gonna stop!!! Its all in our hands to bring good movies from the industry :)

Yes Senthil u are rite...these days almost all the films are Action films(Sandakozhi,Aathi,Saravana)..Seems the action films are the most sought over films by the people now .......This makes the directors and heroes to choose an action subject which leaves them with a minimum risk of the film doing badly at the box office....
[I think the tamil directors are changing to Telugu mode now :-)]
I wont agree with you on this,
Recently we saw some very good full time comedy movies in Tamil like Sivakasi, Aaru, Sandaikozhi, Aathi. Even these type of movies haven't come in Hollywood.
Rather than watching romantic and love movies like Titanic,Indecent proposal, people should welcome comedy movies like this
